Hi! I’m from China and I love this photograph so much that I even don’t know how to praise it ! I first saw it in my on of my country’s website which leads me to here. I adore wild leopard in Africa and I think your photo just show all the fantastic part of leopard in mine mind. This photo just arouse my feelings!

Hi Toby, I guess the short answer is that you get what you pay for. D300 with 70-200 and 1.4 is a good combo. I find the 1.7 works well with that too. Why not consider the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 with a 1.4? That’ll give you a good quality 168-420 f/4 zoom for a good price.

Hi Sue, I don’t use Lightroom or Photoshop to remove distracting backgrounds. I always endeavour to choose locations or viewpoints where there is little in the way of distracting backgrounds. Getting low helps. You may be able to alter contrast or burn and dodge a little in your existing photos, that may improve them a little. Sorry but there’s no easy answer to unless you are willing to do some time-consuming retouching but I very much avoid that route.
