Hi Iloyd,

Can see you already texted Mark back. Just wanted to say: Im the same. Was really disapointed that I could not buy a print of this wonderful and magical picture. I have become a big fan of yours after seeing this images at the NHM in London. Though of all your images it is still the "a flick of the tail" that speaks to me the most. Hope you soon have it open for prints.

Hi Jacqueline,

It sounds like you'd be better off with the 500mm to be honest, especially for birds. And I would expect the 1.4 converter would work better on that than the 200-400 too. I still go to Richmond regularly, as I live nearby. I've had some good success there with pictures in recent years. Good luck with your purchase!

I appreciate this review as I am torn right now between getting the 200-400, which I had rented and brought to Botswana in October or the 500mm. I did not try out my 1:4 teleconverter on the 200-400, but might give that a shot. I shoot birds a lot and don't anticipate getting back to Africa any time soon (unless I win the lottery!), so I might be better with the fixed distance. A big financial investment, so I had better rent again before I am sure! Also like your mention of Richmond Park in your bio. I was born and grew up in Richmond, but it has been many years since I was back there. Beautiful spot!

Hey David. Great collection.
The Vulture one is still my favourite, maybe because I can still hear the noise. Wishing you a great and successful 2012

Brilliant selection. Thanks for the info re the zebras crossing. I never knew that. I saw several examples on the Andoni Plains of Etosha which had great uncluttered backgrounds too.
